The mission of Campus Awareness, Resource & Empowerment (CARE) Services is to provide financial assistance, access to food, temporary housing, and supportive services in order to foster students’ realization of a healthy, stable, and dignified life both academically and professionally. CARE RoadMap is: An interactive training guide for collegiate institutions looking to develop a successful program for supporting homeless, foster care, and/or food insecure young adults in their pursuit of higher education.Designed for an intimate group style format with people doing the work to make a difference and who are seeking access to the tools, network, and ideas to do the work more effectively.

Our team will guide K-12 and/or Higher Education Professionals to develop a high school to higher education pipeline for homeless and foster care students to create a successful transition experience. You will learn how to assist students during their journey into the high educational environment so they can have a better, more successful start. Training topics will include:
Pre-Training Check-In: 45-minute call to discuss your institution’s current scope of services and assess your implementation goals in order to make a training level recommendation.Initial Staff Training: 1-day of virtual training for your staff.Staff Training Workbooks: CARE RoadMap Ascending to College workbooks to use as a guide for program adaptation.Technical Assistance: Six 60-minute virtual follow-up consultations within six months of training completion.Virtual Document Library (VDL): Forms, policies, and procedures used by CARES are available through our VDL during the 6-month Technical Assistance timeframe for an additional licensing fee of $500.00. Only one needed per institution. Campus Cohort and Long-Term Housing training add-on is available for an additional fee of $2,100.00. Ascending to College with add-on option increases training to a total of 2.5 days of training with 12-months of Technical Assistance.Total cost for deliverables = $1,875.00 for a maximum of three attendees
CARE has created a service model, accumulated resources, and built a diverse network of partnerships over 10 years that has fostered a knowledge base and expertise in the area of serving homeless, foster care, and/or food insecure students in a higher education setting.CARE has developed corporate partnerships to coincide with our program so that each level of training will include tangible perks for your college and students (i.e. discounts to educational and/or home products).
