This workshop explores the nexus between restorative justice principlesand mediation, offering participants practical strategies to integratevalues like accountability, inclusion, and healing into their mediationpractice. Participants will examine how restorative justice aligns with anddiffers from traditional mediation approaches, and explore ways toincorporate restorative values into their mediation practice. Throughinteractive discussions, real-world examples,and practical tools, mediatorswill gain strategies to support dialogue,repair harm, and fosteraccountability. The session also includes opportunities for reflection, peerlearning, and developing a personalized toolkit for restorative mediation.

Sherlisa Praylo Bio:

Sherlisa Praylo is the Director of Youth Initiatives at The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire, where she
has engaged over 500 youth through programs focused on conflict resolution, leadership, and community
involvement. As a restorative practice facilitator and trainer, she promotes healing and understanding within
the community through workshops and trainings. She oversees all of our robust youth initiatives, with a close
focus on restorative conferencing, which emphasizes community rebuilding and personal accountability. With
nearly 16 years of experience, Sherlisa is also an author of resources that encourage reflection and resilience. In
addition to her other qualifications, she is also an experienced juvenile delinquency mediator and a civil
mediator, bringing a unique perspective to her work. Her ability to navigate complex situations with empathy
and understanding allows her to effectively address the needs of youth and families, fostering resolutions that
promote healing and growth.

Lee Robbins Bio:
Lee Robbins is Deputy Director at The Mediation Center of the Coastal Empire and a GODR-registered mediator
in civil, domestic, specialized domestic violence, probate, and juvenile delinquency. As the lead trainer, he has
supported education and skill development of hundreds of mediators and community leaders across Georgia. In
his time at the Mediation Center, Lee has developed a co-parenting class that has helped 1,200+ fathers with
legitimation and supports young adults in Savannah with an innovative program which creatively uses mediation to
resolve conflict caused by systemic economic marginalization. Lee has used his career to focus on using mediaiton to strengthen families and empower underserved voices.

Prior to October 27, 2025, full refund. October 20-27, 2027, a fee of $50.00 will be imposed. After October 27, 2025, no refund will be issued.
